For carbon fiber production in the automotive industry.
In the production of carbon fibers, continuous filaments of polacrylonitrile pass through a long furnace system in which the fibers are carbonized at extremely high temperatures in a pyrolysis process. Water cooling elements are installed on all sides to cool the furnace system. The electromagnetic flowmeter MIM from Kobold provides not only their flow rate, but also the temperature.
